Or you can head into the national parks, take a scenic route through neighbouring towns and villages and immerse yourself in the local culture, traditions and nature. Having a car for the length of your holiday will really open up your Port Douglas experience, with Mossman Gorge just a short 20-minute drive away, or for a more adventurous trip, head north into the Daintree Rainforest to really get immersed in nature

A highlight of your trip will undoubtedly be the Coral Reef Sailaway Tour, you will be collected from your hotel and board the Wavedancer at 9.30 am where you can enjoy complimentary tea and coffee. You will arrive at Low Islands around 11 am where you begin the guided snorkelling tour from the island, before returning to the Wavedancer for your lunch: a tropical buffet. Early afternoon you can then experience a guided beach trail walk with a marine biologist. In the afternoon tea will be served and you will then depart Low Isles for Port Douglas. Relax under the sails on your homeward journey and bathe in the sun, whilst drinking in this world heritage site
